History and Traditions

In 1855, Fr. Anthony Maraschi of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) opened a one-room school on the sand dunes of Market Street. Since then, the school has moved five times and has grown to become one of the best schools in the state.

Our graduates have excelled in hundreds of fields, from politics to medicine, from sports to the theatre.
